Diabetes Types

The types of diabetes are as follows:

1. Type 1 diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is a disease during which the immune system damages beta cells in the pancreas for unknown reasons and has not yet been identified. In children, this process is done quickly and lasts from a few weeks to a few years. In adults, it can last many years.

Type 1 diabetes can affect human beings at any stage of life, but it often appears in childhood or adolescence.

Many people who develop type 1 diabetes at an advanced age are mistakenly diagnosed as type 2 diabetes.

2. Type 2 diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a disease during which beta cells in the pancreas are destroyed and damaged for genetic reasons most likely supported by external factors, this process is very slow and lasts decades.

A person with a healthy weight and good physical fitness has little likelihood of diabetes, even if they have a drop in insulin secretion.

A fat person who is not physically active is highly likely to develop diabetes, since they are more likely to develop insulin resistance and therefore diabetes.

It can appear at any age as statistics indicate that the number of people with type 2 diabetes in the world has risen very significantly in recent decades, reaching about 150 million people, and is expected to rise to 330 million people with diabetes until 2025, but fortunately it can be prevented and often avoided.
