 Alcohol level test

Persistent alcoholism can cause damage to many organs and organs of the body, especially the liver, heart, and nervous system, and excessive drinking can cause fainting, convulsions, and may lead to death.

Blood alcohol testing can be carried out, or through exhaling.

When is the alcohol test done?

The test shall be conducted for the following reasons:

• Measuring alcohol concentration as an indicator of how dangerous it is.
• Diagnosis of alcohol poisoning in people who suffer from cramps, loss of consciousness or other nervous system disorder for no apparent reason.
• Legal procedure for identifying addicted persons.

Vulnerable group

This analysis is based on knowing the amount of alcohol in the body, so it is not about specific diseases, but it may be required if the patient has liver disease, or arrives at the hospital unconscious or convulsive.

Method of screening

There are no previous preparations prior to the examination.

The doctor takes a blood sample or takes a sample from the same patient and analyses it, and the sample should be analyzed within a period of taking the sample to avoid affecting the result.

Results Analysis

Depending on the concentration of blood alcohol in both examinations, the results are as follows:

• Balanced: 0%.
• Legal: Up to 0.08%
• Very weak: 0.08 - 40%
• At risk: more than 40%.
